The Destructiveness of Pride

1. Success is good if it comes from the Lord and is used for Him and His purposes (26:1-15).

A. Success (in the true sense) comes only from the Lord (26:5).

B. Success can be used for the benefit of the Lord and others.

The hinge of the story is at the end of verse 15.

2. Success is a danger if you do not guard against pride (26:16-23).

A. Pride is at the heart of all sin.

B. Pride is revealed by an angry response to godly correction.

C. Unjudged pride results in God's discipline.
